Vea Fitness 1.4.2 for iOS is Available Now!

You’ve already made it official: 2017 is YOUR breakout year!

We’re so excited to introduce a new version of the Vea Fitness app on iOS to help you out on your 2017 fitness journey…and the app update is now officially live!

We’re stoked to share this new version that opens our platform up to gym workouts, kickboxing, yoga (via Gym Check In), wearables like Apple Watch & Fitbit (via Apple Health), and Free Workout (to track without taking a specific Challenge).

Trust us, as soon as you open the app and check out the changes, you’ll understand why we’re so pumped about this update.

Check out some of the awesome upgrades we made to improve your experience and make workout challenges even MORE rewarding:

  • Choose your own workout adventure!
    • Complete the challenge your favorite way: run, walk, bike, or check in your time at any gym or fitness center, using the new Gym Check-In option.
      • For example, to earn a reward, you may be challenged to workout at the gym for 30 minutes. We’ll time you and let you know when you’re done.
    • Yoga, climbing, kickboxing, fencing… If it’s on Yelp, it’s on the app!
  • Log EVERY workout in your Vea App
    • Didn’t bring your phone on your run? Sync your wearable using Apple Health to log EVERY workout.
      • That includes FitBit, Apple Watch, etc.
    • That way, if you’re changing from another tracking app to Vea, you can keep all your workouts & data
      • Including runs logged in Runkeeper, Nike+, Runtastic, and more. Questions about syncing? Just ask us!
  • Track your run…just for fun.
    • Logging a spontaneous run, without a specific challenge or reward in mind? Use the FREE WORKOUT tracker to log those miles and track your time. Did you PR!?
  • Craving a tough workout?
    • Want to earn the best reward, and get the best (read: sweatiest) workout? Sort challenges (top right on home feed) by difficulty, distance, popularity, discount amount, activity type or rating.

And, of course… Bug fixes. As you get stronger, we get better.

Speaking of Stronger – Vea Fitness is now backed by Microsoft! And, we’re now a part of their incubator here in Philadelphia – which just so happens to be called Better, Faster, Stronger.

What’s that mean? Well, Microsoft Reactor is now providing us with beautiful offices in West Philly, as well as technical muscle, venture capital connections, go-to market help and so much more. We’re thrilled to be a part of this influential group.

Jonathan Maxim is an app designer, digital marketer and thought leader in the fitness and technology realms. After leaving his job at a Fortune 50 company, he merged his management experience with his passion for technology and innovation to create Apps that encourage fitness and wellness. Educated at San Diego State University first in Graphic Design and User Interface, he went on to gain his Masters of Business from SDSU as well. Currently he serves as founder and CEO of Vea Fitness, an app that rewards you for working out with monetary incentives.
